There's a club tourny out there this weekend. Maybe we could get every boat in the tourny in front of the sign for a pic? and everyone can cast by the dock/lift
I wanted to let everyone know this update: I called the Mill Creek Game Department office. I was told that it is fully legal to fish in Newport Shores and that I was not in violation of any regulation. There has been no emergency closure of Newport Shores. This woman passed me onto the Game Department's Sheriff. The Sheriff said if there is a sign posted--it has been placed there illegally. He said that he may pay this homeowner a visit. He was great to talk to and very helpful.
I agree with what everyone has been saying. We need to be classy and respectful and represent our sport well. However, we also need to stand up for our rights, fish where it is legal to do so, and make certain that our rights are not taken away.

So here's a couple of questions I have. 1) When the land owners put cables or log booms up all along their property out at dock length, totally blocking access to the water behind it - is that legal? ( kind of creating their own swim beach the length of their property) 2) Fishing in marinas - same as fishing around any other dock?
