Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

Hi I have been fishing down here years now (vancouver/portland area) I have seen very few bass in that last couple years. Are there any lakes at all with a decent concentration of bass in them. I have tried Lacamas several times but very few fish except trout and I was fishng with crankbaits when I caught them.. So where are the big bass. Is silver lake near castle rock still a decent lake? If anyone knows good spots for bass fishing please give me a heads up; its all catch and release like everyone should practice. Doesn't have to be a big lake but a small pond is good too.

Down there I'd be fishing Henry Hagg, Silver, Lacamas, the Willy/Columbia - i know some people find sloughs to be productive but I have never explored it much when I was there. Hagg out in forest grove is probably one of the better bets for big smallies/largies.
So Steve....... I like the River there's so much water to fish, its good to have both states license that way you can fish anywhere you want in the Columbia and Willamette. There is tons of bait fish in the sloughs right now, but throwing them something besides a bait fish imitator seems to be the ticket. Silver is always a good lake, tie on a buzzbait and spinner bait and a frog and go at it. Riffe Lake is not to far away and it is excellent this time of year. Drag and drop shot plastics in craw imitators on ledges and points. Have fished Hagg and it can be good although I have not personally done real well, fish the fingers for LM and the main lake for smallies.
