Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

I have been doing some research on a new boat. I was kind of narrowing in on a Skeeter with a Vmax HPDI  maybe 4 years old tops . I see a lot of posts  from owners about replaced powerheads and sometimes multiple replacements.  Anybody know what the deal is I dont want to get into a problem like that.

No issues with mine. I think the guys that had issues had 250 hp ones and it was related to water in fuel. They have since added a fuel/water seperator to the system. I added it to mine just to be on the safe side. I like mine.
What do you have?

They are all time bombs set to go off at any random time. It doesn't matter what motor you buy, they can all blow up. But, the yamahas seem to have the least amount of issues of any of the brands. You are making a good choice by getting a V-Max.
