I know circle hooks are used more for bait fishing but I was wondering if anyone used circle hooks for wacky style fishing like Senkos and what not in lieu of standard hooks?

I would suggest leaving the circle hooks to the tarpon and halibut guys.  No legitimate application in bass fishing IMO.

Try using the 1/0 Gamakatsu Split Shot/Drop Shot hook for your wacky rigging.   That hook is money.

Thanks Tag. I was just wondering out loud.
I have used them split shotting smaller baits and had real good luck with them. I generally fish smaller baits when split shotting. I was "gut" hooking more fish then I wanted to or felt comfortable with. The biggest thing I had trouble with was.......NOT SETTING the hook. When you get bit you gotta just wait for the rod to take a bend then wind down. With that said, the fish are always "lip" hooked. I generally only use them in the "warm" water when the fish are a little more aggressive. IMO they have a place for some anglers........I wouldn't fish them under all conditions and rigs..........but I have found one place I like to use them.
