Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

Hey guys just wondering what your personal best Large and smallmouth bass are. I bet there are some fatties brought in by this group. I just cracked my smallmouth personal best last weekend.

I just had a guy show me a picture of a nice largemouth caught at a small lake in the 7 lakes area recently. I said wow thats a nice fish looks like it could be 7-8lbs. He told me it was 18lbs! Oh really you just broke the state record by like 6lbs how annoying.

Anyway here are my personal bests hoping to improve them soon.

I know this discussion is kinda old but I thought I would breathe some life in it since we have had several new member such as myself since this was active.

LM something like 3 lbs

SM something like 2.5 lbs.

I know for some of yall those fish are bait size. But keep in my I am a lowly bank fisherman. Plus prior to joining this site my whole outlook on bass fishing was different. I focused on throwing small baits with med/light spinning rods thinking WA only has small bass. Thanks to Tag and others I'm now a believer. I know now with all the knowledge I have learned here in the past few months I will beat both of my PB this season probably by a couple of pounds each. Thanks fellas.

My PB largemouth isnt too large.  Maybe 4lbs or so.  I need to get out of tri cities at some point this year and head up to Potholes to change this.   Or I guess I could just figure out how to catch largemouth on the river.
no worries Larrick! Keep on bank fishing and pretty soon the spring will be around.... you'll catch some good ones

Jake, good news. There's a trophy largie in every lake, at least here in Snoh county but you'll need to down size the boat. Which could make it more thrilling. And not just in spring

Pat,

Is his posting really bothering you that much? If he really is lying to us all, it is only hurting himself. There doesn't need to be a huge scene on here every time somebody posts something that isn't up to your standards.

I would love to see some pictures of the fish you have caught, as all I ever see in your postings is bashing of the rest of the members here. Maybe this could help your credibility, but for now you're just about as believable as the guy you just called out. Lake Fork, if you didn't know, is in Texas...the land of HUGE fish. His claiming to catch a 10 pound-class fish is about as believable as saying that you will have your input on the upcoming forum thread. Once again, let's see some of your fish...then maybe some people here will start to accept you.

Until you lay off of the people on this forum, you don't deserve to post here, in my opinion. Your input has only negative impact to WAFish as a whole. I know quite a few guys on here and I can vouch for not only their fishing abilities, but their humility and class. You, sir, do not fall into any of those categories. I'm not saying I'm an amazing fisherman nor have I caught anything near the averages listed here, but I can sure pride myself on showing class and I do have standards that I try to live up to daily. I use these forums to learn from everyone else here as we have some very talented fishermen here. All I ask is for there to be some courtesy in these forums...I know Jordan personally and he started this website to promote the bass fishing scene in the Northwest, not to turn into something so disorderly. I think I can speak for everyone here in saying that I would really appreciate seeing some respectful and enlightening comments from the community...isn't that what this website was created for?

I apologize to WAFish community if I am being offensive here, but I do care about helping this website grow and that can only be acheived if everyone here can work synergistically. I will do everything I can to help us get there.

Travis,

You are being suckered. First of all Pat is a ficticious character. There is no Pat. Some guy is playing the role of Pat. You are arguing with somone's alter ego. It's like getting pissed at Lloyd! Lloyd simply shows up from time to time to make things interesting and you can pound on him because he isn't real. Pat is the same deal. It would be more fun if everyone was a little quicker to catch on.

Jeff's fish are real. The 10 pounder can be seen on his page. The big SM is hanging on his wall. I have been to Jeff's house many times and I have seen it. Many of us know Jeff and know he isn't lying. I'm sure he would appreciate you defending him but he would much rather see a photoshopped picture of Pat that would make us all laugh. The best part is you wouldn't even be hurting a real person's feelings.
