Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

Hey all,

I have to head over to the west side of the mountains this weekend. I will be staying around the bonney lake area. I may try to get away from the mother in law for a few hours and do some fishing. I am not bringing my boat so I was wondering if anyone can suggest a place to do some bank fishing (for bass preferably) down that way? I don't mind driving a little ways to get to a place either.

Thanks for the rescue,
Dave

There might be a few bass left in the Montlake Cut.
Dave pm me. I live on lk tapps right next to bonney lake.
Dave,

Definitely try Lake Tapps. Drop shotting a small worm from the rip rap bank at Lake Tapps North Park along Dike Rd, and 198th ave E. You'll do very well.

Did you not see Eric's post concerning Tomo? LOL

i might have an open backseat for some largemouth fishing let me know
Hey Daniel,

If I was able to go, it would probably only be in the morning on Saturday. Where were you thinking of going? I would be up for that if I can work it out.

Give me a call when you get time. 509-670-3949
Thanks,
Dave

I havent fished Sawyer in a few years, but I used to do very well for bass from the boat launch. 10 fish nights were the norm, with some quality fish. Both smallies and largies. My wife caught 2-4lb smallies in one night once.
are you talking about the launch at the sunrise resort or is there another one on the lake you are referring to?

I'm talking about the public boat launch. You know the one with no parking, and a rip-off launch fee.

That's both of them! I have been doing great in the evening off the docks at Alan Yorke. A little weedy, but good for a hand full of fish after dark. If anyone sees me there after dark, stop buy and say hello, just walk up slowly or I might huck a 1oz. lipless crank in your direction! Just kidding. Just fishing off the end of the cement boat launch with a dropshot or a black spinnerbait has done the trick. The cops will run the kids out of the park and leave you alone. Go figure.
Sawyer off the launch may work, but the lake is sure different now than it was years ago. At least thats what a few club members think. The lake has never been dynamite for me, but I've done the off the boat launch thing and they are there. A boat was anchored on that spot right out in front of the big rock last weekend. He was almost blocking half the launch to put it in perspective.
