Cabela's Angler Cash to be Discontinued Outside Collegiate Series
Program remains available for Collegiate Bass Fishing Tournament Series in 2014

SIDNEY, Neb. (Dec. 23, 2013) – Cabela's Incorporated, the World's Foremost Outfitter® of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear, today announced the Cabela's Angler Cash program will be discontinued outside the Cabela's Collegiate Bass Fishing Tournament Series in 2014.

Anglers participating in the Cabela's Collegiate Bass Fishing Tournament Series will still be eligible for the angler contingency program.

Established in 2010, Cabela's Angler Cash provided anglers who registered for the program opportunities to win bonus prizes and payouts during participating Cabela's sponsored tournament events.

Cabela's sponsored tournaments and circuit events include the Cabela's Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship Series, Cabela's Masters Walleye Circuit, Cabela's National Team Championship and more. A complete list of Cabela's sponsored events can be found at www.cabelas.com.

"Cabela's will continue to provide anglers with world-class tournament and circuit events," said Scott Williams, Cabela's Chief Marketing Officer. "We expect 2014 to have more anglers, competition and payouts than ever."

This was never relevant to us anyway.

This only really applied to the federation tournaments and ABA West. I bought a duck boat, dozens of decoys and plenty of hunting stuff from the gift cards Chad and I won the last couple of years through this program.

Nick makes a great point, don't forget about the small local retailers that put a lot into our local tournaments. The least we can do is put something back in for them. A phone order or stop by a local shop and a quick "Thank you for supporting the local events" goes a long ways.
