Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

It's time for another contest.  Create your own caption for the picture below.  This contest will be judged on humor and creativity.  Please try to keep these appropriate but I know I have nothing to worry about with this crowd.  It will run for two weeks until October 20th.  The winner will receive a custom swimbait valued at over $100.00.  The judges will be the lucky angler who caught the fish, Joel Alinen, the photographer who captured the fish's lovely mug, David Parnicky, and me.

Good luck!  Silly contest, cool prize....

Thank you everyone for the excellent entries. This site is full of exceptional anglers but you all proved you have great senses of humor as well. This was a lot of fun. The number of creative and hilarious entries made it a challenge to pick our favorites. David, Joel and I each selected our Top 3 and the rankings were weighted accordingly. Here are the results:

The winner of the custom swimbait ($100+ retail value) is Chad Simon with this 11th hour entry on thread hijacking.

The very close runner-up was Sparky with his Limit Out Marine entry. Sparky will receive a runner up prize in the form of some other lures and swimbaits from my collection.

I am also going to give Dez a consolation prize which includes a nice selection of big gnarly largemouth baits.

1. Because I really liked Dez's entry on health care reform
and
2. Because he is going back East for Nationals next year and I think he left most of his largemouth gear back in Tennessee

I will PM the winners regarding ship-to addresses, etc. Congrats to the winners and great job to everyone who participated. Thanks for the laughs!
Rick, you are a riot!!!

Great idea on the contest guys! It was a lot of fun, and I'm glad I could contribute some humor to the site! Jordan's first entry cracked me up, as well as 2000subaru's entry about Baker, and Sparky's entry about Limit Out Performance Marine! Maybe Mad Bass Baits will host the next contest??? Hey, there is no such thing as bad press!
Thanks For the vote Taggy !! And yea im gonna need every bit of help when we go east next year ... I was looking though my tackle lastnight and i found 5 packs of the original culprit worms 10" in grape , i just laugh to myself thinking its a shame that i havent even use them out here yet ..lol
