I am looking at getting a glass crankbait rod. I want to stay around $100. I was looking at the Lamiglas Excell and The Wright and McGill glass crankbait rod. Does anyone have any recomendations?

Quantum Energy 7' M Moderate is what KVD would tell you, but if you want one for around $100 i would go with a St. Croix Premier Series Crankbait Rod 7' M. (I hope this helps)
Found a Lamiglas Skeet Reese SR705R the other day on clearance for $119 bucks! That rod normally retails for about $200-230 new and was out of my $100 dollar per rod budget until I saw it by "accident" on sale. This was one of the Lamiglas with Skeet's signature. Grabbed that puppy up right quick!

There are deals out there for sure.
Three Rivers Marine had some of the Wright and McGill Skeet Reese rods in stock last time I checked. Maybe go and check it out.
I would have to agree with Kevin.

St. Croix has a few options around $100.

Mojo Crankbait Rod - MBC70MHM 7' MH - Moderate tip = $100
Premier Crankbait Rod (graphite) (5 models) = $110 - $130
Premier Crankbait Rod (glass) (2 models) = $120 - $130

I've never fished with the Mojo crankbait, but I know a few guys including myself that have the glass premier rod and really like it.

Hope this helps.

Hey Dez,

I found it at Cabelas by accident. We ran down there to look for some of the cold weather gear they had on sale. Didn't plan on buying any tackle, as I try to shop locally if possible. The Cabela's website had the rod for $119 bucks on their website, but all sold out. So, when I happened to see it in the store for $199, I asked if they would give me the online price. They did, and it had Skeet's name on it!, so had to have it! Love the yellow/orange color too!
I have two of the glass St. Croix Premier Crankbait rods and I love them!

Are you looking for all glass or a combination of glass/composite?
I also use the premier crankbait rods, 7' Glass. I got mine for 70$ right before the switched to the "premier" title. =)
