Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

Ok, last year I did a filming with Mike Carey on Lake Sammamish with bedding smallies. This year we are doing a winter smallie filming on Lake Washington. The east channel has cleared up nicely and the smallies have been hitting. I will be doing both Rev Rigging and leadhead's with big baits as the focus of the filming. I will make sure to get some video of the water temps, depth's and what I am showing Mike on the graph.
Hope the smallies cooperate with the thoughts of 3 to 5 fish being caught. Enuf to make a decent video. Once it is done, and I get a copy I will post it here if possible.

I watched the video this morning...NICE! Really informative and looked like Mike had a good time nailin a couple of pigs. I might head out this Sunday to try my luck...
Hey mark, what dropshot bait was that. And did you say shrimp color? Don't think I have seen that b4... is it a pretty successful color for you? Thanks, Jon
Hey Truck, glad you found the video and this site. It's a custom bait someone showed me. We are working with DJ from West Coast Custom Tackle to bring it to the market. The name we call it right now is " cut-bait" the color was a translucent pumpkin / with hint of red. Look like translucent shrimp, that's why I called it shrimp. As for a succesful color, for that particular day it was THE color. But we had bright blue bird skies. Not real common for Washington in the winter. Most of the time I use the natural colors in green, watermelon, browns, etc.
I have been experimenting with this bait this winter as both a drop shot bait and lead head bait. Rob Maglio caught his smallie the other day with it on a 1/2oz lead head. In a dark green with copper flake.
