Got to Clear Lake, CA last Tuesday night right at sunset, head out to the resort dock with a dropshot and a maragrita mutilator robo.  Caught my first fish of the year a couple minutes later.  Went on to catch over twenty largies over the next four days

Mike perfect timing...the first couple days I was there were slow because the fish were adjusting to the sudden change of weather (SUN=).  The water level is very high but dropping slowly, lots of tree and reeds under water. Water near Rodman was very cold and muddy...horrible swimbait conditions.  Weather continued to improve and the water warmed into the high 50's and low 60's and the bite turned on for us.  Flipping plastics in the Rock Point are was the technique that worked best for us, water was the cleanest and warmest there.  Many fish were staging/suspending at the mouths of the creeks, but we couldn’t catch em.  I bet some will already start moving up the creeks and sloughs by the time you get there.  The Clear Lake Keys, down south will also be worth checking out but no one was home when we checked but lots of fish out at the mouth of the keys.  Please let me know how your trip goes, that lake it awesome!

Water temp was in the low 50's Saturday, but the wind ran us off the lake, went back out Sunday and the water temp had dropped into the mid 40's.

Finally got out and got my first bass of 2011.

2lb smallie @ Lake Samish - 4/2/2011.

Ye ole footballhead w/ DT Hula grub. Multi-Rigged (Thanks Mark Maderos)

Joel the swimbait bite was incredible earlier in the week then a cold front came in. Monday and Tuesday was absolutely awesome. 20 fish mornings in less than 2 hours. Most our fish have come off S Baits and jerk baits. I added some pics
