Washington Fishing

... and, as I reported from the Forrest Wood Cup back in August, the Pacific Northwest won't be one of the stopovers.

Tournament sites for 2010 include:

Lake Shasta
Roosevelt Lake, Arizona
Lake Mead
The California Delta

Entry fees have been cut to $2,000 for pros and $350 for co-anglers.

I am a hack of a Bass fisherman but I might have to spend $350 to have a few "guides" show me how to catch some hawgs. Not to mention even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while. I could mess up and find 5 good fish on back to back days.

Now all i have to do is find out which spot will be the most fun.
I'd go with Mead and the Delta. I've not fished either.
So your rationale is sound.

The lakes are ok. But the dates suck!!!!
Would this be in part due to the economy?
I know I sound like a retard(for those who didn't know) I'm just not to familiar
with bass tourneys.

FROM BASSFAN.COM Title sponsors Walmart and BP, long rumored to be departing, are mentioned nowhere in the announcement. Contingency prizes, such as Ranger and Yamaha bonuses, are not outlined.

The FLW Tour (bass) will move to a 4-day cumulative weight format with only the Top 5 pros fishing the final day (Saturday). Only 30 Tour pros will qualify for a smaller-field Forrest Wood Cup, which will be about 50 boats. There are no Opens listed, which means a smaller total purse for the year.

This is rough, notice Evinrude is not mentioned either, as they are in a lawsuit with FLW Outdoors over bonus money. Also the Stren series in the West has been cancelled.

I'd have to sell my dog, then I'd be in. For the Delta tourney anyway.

Hell if your moms can convince him, she needs to be working down here full time selling cars. She could sell Ice cubes to an Eskimo

If we get fired , they are both required by state law to pay us Unemployment of atleast 60-70% of our current wages .. Its not like we couldnt apply for our jobs again after the tourney !! Down side is that it would probably be our last tourney for awhile (make up time) ..hmm allow the national event to kill our local dreams .. tuff call bro , tuff!!

What is the date of the Shasta event, I would love to fish this one since I have fished it weveral times and know it pretty well.
JAN 13-16th....I talked with Frank O'Laughlin earlier today and he said the schedule is changing again. I should know the exact days tomorrow hopefully and I'll post them. Looks like Shasta in Jan is a sure thing though. COLD!!!!!
