I fish off of Coulon all the time. Not as much as I have done in previous years because IMO the fishing quality has gone downhill. There are a few Smallies available, but it is much tougher. I once saw 2 guys down there rigged up nicely with senko's and texas rigged tubes, but along with their tackle boxes were 5 gallon buckets. :( All the normal baits will work, I try to parallel the docks when I cast. I mostly use drop shot plastics, leadheads, and a small swimbait every now and again.

If people obey the rules and don't get lazy, they should be driving their fish out to open water or structure away from the public docks to release them. Its a punishable offense I believe.

oh yeah completely forgot that there was a tourney next weekend...

would it be wrong to fish this week due to tourney this weekend ? of course it would be C&R...

Nope. It would only be wrong if you are competing in the tourney and there is an off limits period that you were not following.

FISH IT UP-No one is gonna be fishing coulon that's in the tourny. Rules state you can't fish at the host marina. Its off limits for anyone fishing the event until the day of the tourny.

good thing im not fishing in the tourney...ill probably head down the tomorrow morning real early...maybe thursday too...

which dock would you reccomend going to. to my understanding there are a few along lake wash.
