Watch tv, and hybernate/sleep. I use to go dog sledding but not anymore.
Read fishing books, surf the net, and my favorite is to pour jigheads and tie jigs....it is a great hobby once you get the equipment.

I didn't know the bass season ended. (hee hee) As much as I don't want to, I will satiate the fix by targetting other species. If I had a boat, I'd hit Lake WA and look for smallies any day, any weather condition, and that's not even being hard core. :)

Read books, tinker, make lures, and read posts kind of help through this doldrum.
Dude, there is still way to much fishing and not enough time for me. I'll be out on lake Wa this weekend, not to mention blackmouth, and plenty of rivers that are open for steelhead. Personally all I can think about is getting on the water. Any water.
go snowboarding chicks dig a goggle tan :)
I head down to Clear Lake- Honestly organize tackle, clean reels and rods, make jigs, maintenance on boat and trailer, give away tackle I dont use to those that may need like our military men.
For me,lower temps equal lower expectations. However,I still try for winter bass but slow everything down...way down. I figure nothing really beats time on the water even if you can't
feel your hands and have snot water draining out your nose. This is also the time of year that I'll try to reorganize my gear. I seperate plenty,I have a mixture of pike/musky cranks, little perch
thingy's,some random spoons that seem to fall into the bass mix by the end of summer.
Now its the time to weed them out and get everything back where its suppose to be.
I have started fishing Lake WA during the past couple winters, and am just now starting to figure out the bite. I ski a lot when the snow is good up at Stevens and I mostly work hard in school during the winter...
ill be going up to stevens on saturday to shred

i would still be fishing right now, but since i live on the eastside, pretty much everything is frozen over and i dont got a boat for the bigger lakes

Well with lake washington being less than two blocks from my front door i try best to make it over the winter months atleast 2-3 times per month . Winter smallmouth fishing can be a fun day on the lake, not many bites but more than often the size of your catch will be rewarding enough to justify the frostbite ! As for time around the house WOW ! Like others i play this strange game with myself year after year of organizing all my tackle over and over ..Reading , music , football , internet , bass chating etc are tools that help ease the pain of cabin fever ! I still get a kick out of looking at my nieghbors face as they watch me practice flippen and pitching outside in the dead of winter , and yes everytime the same question is always ask "you catching anything" ..lol
