I'm sure these guys like to sneak up behind the Hut and then hit it hard and fast.

Mark raises a good question.  I want to add a couple questions and then try to answer his based on my experiences fishing huts.  Do you all think huts are still producing as good as they did say 10 years ago or even 5 years ago??? Are there sections of lakes with more productive huts than other sections?  Is there a water level where huts are the best type of structure/cover to be fishing? Does the prop monster really work?  I tried it a few times this year and had no success.

Mark I have always fished huts starting a ways off the actual hut and working my way into the hut fishing the surrounding banks targeting the bushes and stickups adjacent to the hut.  Then I go right into the hut from a couple different angles.  Depending how the hut lies on the dune I have had great luck with running a bait across the length of front of the hut. This covers the whole front including the trough that the beaver uses to enter through the front.  I have also had luck pitching a bait straight at the hut into as many gaps in the sticks as I can and letting it fall through into the trough and opening below.
