Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

I had a few hours to burn Saturday morning so I snatched up the boat and headed to samm. The water was up to the base of the pay station and it was about the same color as chocolate milk. Launched the boat and picked up C-Ride, which was a task in itself with the water being so high. We eventually made it out and dodged all the floating debris on our way to the first spot about half way down the lake. The water was still nasty and the fish we found were suspended up off the bottom about 6-10 feet. We moved down further about 3/4 of the way down the lake and finally found some cleaner water. However today was just not our day fishing wise, as we only hooked one fish that came unbuttoned about half way up. We realized it may just be one of those days and decided to do graph work for a couple hours. Water was as high as I've ever seen to though.
Any ideas on how long this will take to clear up? I would say a couple weeks if the rain dies down a bit.

I know it took awhile last year, like around a month. But the water color was not to bad. Think I wil stick to Wash.
Glad the forecast is calling for several dry days this week and next. Was there anyone else on the lake? I might try to get out next Saturday. I think this is the first time I've read about you having "one of those days". I guess you are human...LOL
Same story on Washington. Hit it Friday, and the water was chocolate in most area's from Webster's Pt on down to Coulon. Once the water clears some, I expect there to be a good bite going on as these fish will have not eaten much during the mud fest.

How deep are the fish?
