Ron , I heard about that not too long ago when i fished with Gene B on sammy !! He was one of the guys effected by this . You gotta keep in mind dude that im still somewhat new to the state so i only hear a little of the history behind the bass community here. I really hope that deals like this dont be the reason why Federation goes away . one of the tourneys i look forward to fishing each year is FLW , as a non boater i get the Joy of being on the boat with some of the states great sticks , kinda like when i got Mike W on banks. Thats your partner and he was a cool ass dude to fish and chat with ! simple things like this is what draws "new anglers" to such events . I can only assume the federation stands behind everything they preach , honestly i feel privilege that i made the team this year . I would centainly hope that he you will attend this event in the future because you and alot more sticks in this state could motivate alot of new anglers to show up every year "Thats what it should be about" . Put it too ya like this ron and you know i keep it real bro ! if it wasnt for Mike on banks i wouldnt be on the team this year , So im thankful that he attended . As for the boat give away , ooo well i guess i gotta earn one the same way you did "put in the work, and not expect a hand out " !! As for larry , thats my club homie and i gotta respect the man for playing a big role with two major circuits on his shoulders , You couldnt pay me to do what is doing ..lol And BTW im sending you a t-shirt that says " I LUV HAWGHUNTERS, REALLY I DO! " with you name on front pocket !! lmao.. good to hear from ya again man!!

Hey Dez that isn't the reason at all it wasn't but 5 years ago when there wasn't a boat givaway and the turn out was real good, in the 50's for boaters, it wasn't until guys got fed up of our Federation, poor leadership, lack of communication, unproffessionalism lead to the field dropping substantially. I am willing to bet alot of money if things don't change the fields will stay very low for much longer. I know a few guys didn't even get a call to go to Wyoming this year, they placed in the teens the year before, not going to mention names, Yet one if not 2 WA TBF board members fished the tournament which they had no right to do unless everyone that fished the qualifiers the year before refused to go. Things like that are dooming the TBF chances to ever have a legitimate chance of drawing any kind of numbers for coming events.

In this day and age guys are going to buy the best products out there right now the TBF which I am a proud member, is missing a few integral ingredients for a good product. There are so many other tournaments out there that are ran just as good if not way better. So why wouldn't someone buy that product instead of the TBF product. Maybe with new leadership from Larry Williams they can turn things around. Lets cross our fingers.

Hey Ron , I think the biggest reason behind the # of boats for this year compared to prior years is the fact that there wasnt a boat giving away !! If all an angler has to do is fish three events and there name goes in a hat for a free boat , well thats more motivating than a $500-1000 cash prize give away IMO.. hard times man , less support , equals low turn out in # 's !!

Good Job Everyone. Aaron I think over half of the field of competitors were from the Hawg Hunters so don't get all wet when half the team is from your club. I was told it was like a glorified Hawg Hunter Club Tournament, with Larry running the show, even though he is not even the Tournament Director.
Were there not less than 25 boats? What happened to the good ol' days when there was 50-60 boats? None the less congrats to all who made the state team, regionals will be fun and who ever makes it to nationals is in for a treat!
Whats amazing too is that he actually keeps stats for every day that he is on the water. He has a huge database of all the lakes he fishes from weather, location, number of fish per hour, sizes, lures they bit on (and didn't bite on). He could write one heck of a book on bass fishing in Washington.

I know he is still very active in yur guy's club, I was trying to get Aaron Fired up. I think Tom fishes more than anyone in the entire state. He fishes just about every single morning. To have the love like that for the sport is mind boggling and awesome, I don't think I could do it.

Oh is Melowitz still in your club and is he in good standing, I know he lives on the other end of the state, but does he still make it to all your meetings and enough club events? If not he should not be aloud to participate for the state team because it is in the by laws that only members in good standing can participate...... just joking and giving the Hawgs a bad time, good job fellas.

When Tom isnt in Texas he does drive over from Banks for every single meeting. He is a machine!
Good Job Guys!!! I didnt attend as it is practically impossible for me to fish a tournament during football season. If I had a shot at the team I would have fished it. The state team this year looks pretty promising!! Good Luck Guys!

Great job to all that made the team!!! Sucks being first loser though.
I would describe it as being the best non-winner Mike.

Hey you can always cut Strasbaugh's brake lines and I can help you take Hoss down. Of course that would only make you the first alternate but Im sure we can mess with Tom or Kenny. Deal or no deal?

Deal!! only if ya take Hoss out of the equation. Don't want any part of that!!!
