Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

Hi Everyone,

It is that time of the year again!  Borderline Bassin Contenders will be hosting their annual Lake Whatcom Spring Open on Saturday, April 24th.  Drivers meeting will be at 5:30 AM and we will launch at safe light.  Come treat yourself to some of the best fishing for trophy smallmouth that Washington has to offer!  Attached is the entry form along with the rules.  I know that this tournament conflicts with other tournaments as it does every year, but I hope to see as many of you there that can make it!!  If you have any questions about this tournament, shoot me a PM.

I've never fished that lake and again I'll have to wait. (ABA Tri-Cities) I've heard great things about that fishery. To much water not enough time.
Looking forward to it... (:
Maybe someday when I get the 175 Pro XS LOL.
I am letting you know that my entry form is on it's way to my partners house for his signature and he will be sending it in.I will be fishing with Jason Nielsen. Thanks,Ron Gayton
Cool Ron! You can mail the entry form in if you would like but there is no need to. It is more than ok to bring it in on tourney morning.

I am looking for a boater who is in need of a partner for the open.

I will admit that I do not have a lot of experience under my belt. But, I am a team player who fishes hard. I won't complain about the weather or tell you how to drive your boat. I have my own gear so I wont be asking to borrow yours. I am not a huge talker but can carry on a civil conversation.

Able to split tourney fees and fuel costs. I can make myself available to pre-fish as well. Shoot me a PM if your interested.
There seems to be some fishing going on at Whatcom, although I doubt it's anyone from this group. Oddly, there are many signs posted by the ramps regarding engine restrictions, weed control, etc, but nothing regarding fishing seasons.

No Pre-Fish available due to state regs. The Lake opens the day of the tournament.

Hey David, I am new to bass fishing and wanted to know what do I need to do to be able to fish this tourny. I am not in a bass club but am looking for one. Let me know if you can help
me out. Thanks
Sounds good Tony! See you next Saturday! Yes for sure! There is plenty of room for as many teams that want to fish!

Hi Jaimee,
If you want to fish the Lake Whatcom Open, simply show up on Saturday the 24th with your entry form, entry fee ($120 per two person team) a contest banner ( I have extras if you need one), and all required safety equipment as per the checklist I attached with the entry form. If you need a partner let me know as I know someone who is looking for someone to fish this with. Also, if you don't have a teammate and would prefer to fish alone that is perfectly acceptable as well. Also, feel free to send me a PM on here and I would be more than happy to talk to you about our bass club and other bass clubs in your area. I hope to see you Saturday!
