Are there any techniques out there where you guys prefer Monofilament Fishing Line over Braided Fishing Line and Fluorocarbon Fishing Line or has the Fluorocarbon and Braid made mono the equivalent of an eight track? Where does Copolymer Fishing Line fall into the disscission? Has that also replaced mono? When would you use it?

Joel the main connection with Spinnerbaits and mono is the stretch factor when a fish hits your bait it gives a bit more to let them fully eat the bait, and giving you a better chance at not pulling it out of their mouth. Also like Ron said in another post about glass rods they give the same effect when fishing Spinnerbaits. Now that I am using for Fluoro I need to back with mono like I do my braid that stuffs expensive.
I still feel "if it aint broke don't fix it". I use mono for most applications and really do not have a problem with losing fish. I regularly respool and adjust line size for differant situations and can do it affordably with mono. I do use braid with a fluoro leader for some deep water applications for increased feel and decreased diameter. I have rarely been outfished where the sole difference in presentation was line choice...
i use mono for flipping and it works just fine
What reel do you use for flipping? I'm planning on getting a second reel come tax return time.

Daiwa Viento w/ Twitchin bar! It's a sweet reel and the Twitchin bar is just a bonus!

+27 I think. Theres little left to offer that hasn't been said, my summary is for fast moving in clear water its fine, in off color where its handling can be beneficial, and where its bouyancy or stretch is a benefit.

Heres one no one mentioned. Great for hanging objects, like Christmas ornaments cause its cheap.
Merry Christmas All,

Ok I'll ask. What is a 'twitching bar'? And what is 'twitching'?
