Anybody try it yet? I put 8 lb test on a drop shot rig with a 6 lb fluoro leader. It cast really well with a one eighth ounce weight. I'll try anything once.

I use it for my steelhead rod, and tried it for dropshotting, didn't like it.

I tried on drop shot rig, not impressed with it.

i run it. love it.

RZONE, and Spencer,

What didn't you like about it.   Just saying you don't like it doesn't help anyone.

Travy.  Why do you like it?  Just saying you run it, and love it doesn't help anyone.

Clearly there are some who love it, some who hate it.   Tell us what your experience was so perhaps we can make an assessment on wether or not the line may or may not work for us.

I cant even get pass the name , makes me think about Mork & Mindy "nano! nano! "

..lol

Seriously , I would like to here more feed back about this line . They claim its the best line ever made for spinning reels !! better than good ol fashion mono , hmmm really ??

thus far this season i have converted over to Tuff line braid and i do believe that it does handle better than power pro imho  :)   verdit is still out on the nano nano ...

I love it! I run the 10 and 12lb on my spinning rods when fishing deeper water for smallmouth with a flourocarbon leader. I have zero complaints. I would be curious to see what you guys don't like about it.

Nice JD ,

So in your honest opinion , how does the nano compare to conventional braided lines ?

things like line diameter, abrasive resistance , line strech , etc ... As you see im mainly looking to find out how much of differece the nanofil is compared to just running standard braids ie Tuff line , Power Pro , Fireline , etc

No berkley talk off please , keep it trill Douce :)

for me its the smoothness of the line. casts super easy and far effortlessly. i run the 12lb to a 6lb mono leader on my dropshot rod and it runs great for that setup

The main complaint I hear online is that it's not very abraison resistant. I ran about a 8 foot fluoro leader using the double Albright that Berkley suggested. I've only tried it one trip. It out cast braid by a good margin. I found it much easier to tie the leader over braid also. I've had trouble with knots breaking using braid and fluoro with light lines although it might have to do with me not tying properly.

BBD,

All bias aside, i think it outperforms conventional braid in regards to casting distance with how smooth it is. I can't speak to the abrasion resistance as with the application I use it for it doesn't come anywhere near rocks or wood running a 15' leader. Diameter is comparable with conventional braid and there is zero stretch as you would find with braid as well. I may have a spool kicking around that I could throw your way to give it a whirl.

Until they make it in heavier sizes, i would say only run it on a spinning rod though. You'll have trouble with the small diameter on a baitcaster.

Jordan, what knot do you like to join the two lines?

Jordan,

what is the buoyancy like?  Does it float like braid, or sink like fluro?
