Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

I stopped by the new Sportsmans Warehouse this morning, just to check out the new store. I case you don't know where its at, take the fair exit and go to the top of the hill. Left at the light at 31st. NOTE! that intersection is photo controlled, so be on your best behavior. Its in the site of the old GI joes.  Its the same lot as the Walmart, Ram, Home Depot, Big Lots, and Petsmart.

I found the store looks like all the other sites. Overall it easily becomes the best outdoors store in Puyallup. Dicks ain't bad, but is light on selection by comparison.

Of course as we all know the bass gear plays second fiddle to the slimer gear, but has a lot of the common stuff.  So if your looking for senkos, some zoom, strike king, rebel and rapala, they'll have most of the common colors and baits. Did see they are carrying a pretty good selection of the KVD labeled strike king.

Otherwise the Salmon/Steelhead/trout, Hunting, camping, clothing sections all look as well stocked as ever. For you guys heading to the Puyallup river, they have all the pink stuff for the Humpies.

Their grand opening is this saturday, they are giving away $25.00 gift cards to the first 300 families.  Have fun, I'll be on Silver Lake.

Hey Ron,

I found a forum in bassresource.com and also Pete Maina Musky guru (on facebook). Apparently there is also info saying that its the Walton Family that donated to those various groups.
A few folks were saying that the Walton Family donates to a bunch of groups that are anti-whatever. And those people exclude the Waltons from Walmart. Even though they sit on the Walmart Executive Board.

But try those 2 sources and investigate. I tried to copy and paste it in here but the puter' wouldnt let me do it. Hope this helps a tadbit. Todd

Hey Todd, got any more info. on that or is it just a rumor? I am sure FLW Outdoors would be proud of this. I have a laundry list of emails at FLW I would like to send some info. to.

And maybe stay the hell away from the Wal mart..They just donated 36 million to anti-fishing groups. August 17th 2011. May want to think about it. And check it out.

This is a big problem, and Walmart needs to get the word that they are supporting groups that are intent on eliminating fishing across the USA.  I am not sure Walmart realizes how their donation is being spent, considering WALMART sells fishing and boating tackle (at least they did until now...).

Read the link provided above; this is for real, and I have received the same info from the RFA and other sources in the past two weeks.

Sweet deal Kevin B, thanks for the heads up.

To begin with, those of you who shop at Walmart aren't doing your economy any good. It's a fact, and my mother has done a huge research paper on it, that Walmart gives back the least to the community of all the large wholesalers. Walmart sells crap, they pay crappy, they don't take care of their employees, they import way to much exc.....and don't tell me all that's ok since their prices offset all the negetive! I really could go on and on, but it's time for work!

LOL, I just noticed that.  I was probably reading the post at work and just skimming it, reading comprehention was never my strong suit in school.

Berto, is Chris Ferry working at Limit Out ?  If so, thats awesome.
