John's Sporting Goods in Everett also does good work. But, I don't think there's not a whole lot they can do to a spinning reel.
I am confusing. Does that mean they can fix reel or not fix reel?

I got a spinning reel cleaned and they replaced a part for me. Johns does a good job at a fair price. They don't have parts on every reel, but Shimano they have most of.

I agree as well, they do a good job. I got there info from Shimano. If you want to do a complete overhaul, they'll replace all the bearings for 70 bucks, suppose to feel like a new reel.

Sorry about that goofy reply! What's wrong with the reel Doug?

I bought a used shimano sustain 6000 off ebay. Its was advertised as being in "very good" condition. Unfortunately when I received it, it was full of sand, a great deal of saltwater corrosion and it isn't smooth to reel up line. I got ahold of the seller and they agreed to pay for the cleaning. I'll cover any parts it needs. I was hoping for a mean salmon/steelhead and sturgeon reel.
