Okuma makes a pretty inexpensive swimbait rod and heard they were actually really nice... $109.99 at TW
FM,..I used the St.Croiz Mojo~Bass SB Rod with a low ratio reel for Swimmies before I upgraded 2 a GLommis 955 with a Daiwa Luna,..the Mojo handled the SB'S fine rated 2-6 oz,..I sold the combo to Anthony {tnj} so maybe hit him up and see what he thinks,..I purchased the Mojo at OE for $109.00 on sale but they aren't much more than that on TW,..maybe give them a look!

Juan,..yes 4 the amount of time I used the Mojo it served me well,..I threw the BBZ-1 8" and the Tru~Life Blue Gill 7" allot and mostly Top~Water on lakes up north,..20 lb P~Line. I just picked up the Tru~Life Trout 9" which because of it's diversity I'll throw allot with my new set~up,..I love these baits cause you can cover the whole water column with 1 bait aslo the BBZ's are great and the Hudds,..also picked up 2 more 6" Weedless Hudds in Trout and Perch pattern,..they are a bit small but I love the concept,..just need 2 throw them more,..so far I haven't replaced any hooks and they all seem 2 be sharp and strong,..if I were just starting out with SB's I'd hit some shallow lakes and stay with Top~Water,..it's exciting and always helps with confidence when you can see your bait working,..you can give the Mojo a try and you won't be disappointed,..it has great backbone and a fast enough tip 2 throw your SB's a country mile,..JMHO~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~TGL~BB
