Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

Hi Everyone,

There has been alot of controversy on this particular group between the two musky clubs CMA and Chapter 57. I don't know the entire story about why the groups split and honestly don't really care. Personally, I think the fact that it has spread to this site is ridiculous. Bottom line is I made this site for everyone, not just one group or the other. The bass fishing group has a number of members from various clubs in it and there is no issue there, just friendly competition.

I appreciate everything the CMA has done to grow this group and hope to continue watching this group grow with input from everyone, inlcuding both groups and recreational guys. I like having a musky group with guys that really know their stuff, so others on this site can go out musky fishing here and there and have a decent chance on catching one.

If the problem between the two groups persists and the bickering comes up again, I will suspend people from the site. I hope it doesn't come to that but this cannot go on.

Now let's get back to the sport we all love, on and off the water - Keep the fishing reports and good tips coming!

Amen Jordan.
All,

I truly enjoy this site that Jordon works so hard at keeping up and running. As most of you know I a member of Chap 57 with many friends within CMA. Personally, I don't care who's from where but I agree that things were getting carried away. I enjoyed reading the about the current news and trying to stay up to date since I'm currently deployed to Iraq. However, over the past several months anytime I posted something that someone didn't agree with of one reason or another my post would be deleted. Anyone who has read these posting would remember that I was very respectful that this was a mostly CMA site and never post the other clubs information within the Musky forum. Sure early on I did make a few slip ups and it was explained to me and I complied. I have no personnel issues with any person or group, I don't agree with certain points of view from time to time but that simply life in general.

Let’s all learn from this and move forward without all the BS, and if someone is offending another, take it to that person and explain it but not into a public forum. I did that once last year to Mr. Wells and to this day I realize how much of a mistake it was. I'm not perfect but I'm will to accept that and apologize when I error.

If anyone would like to discuss this further please feel free to e-mail me.

Thanks for your time.

N Dillon
Thanks Jordan. Todd
I would like to encourage everyone in both clubs to put personal differences aside and focus on our common love of the sport of musky fishing and what we can do, either individually or together, for the good of the sport.

Many of you may be familiar with "the statute of limitations" in law. This means that after a certain period of time you can no longer file a claim or lawsuit. The term is also used in ordinary conversation in a broader sense. It means there comes a time to put what happened in the past behind us. The concept exists in the law because society has a practical need to move on from the past in order to deal with the present and future. We have the same need in our personal lives and relationships.

May I suggest that the "statute of limitations" has run out on the differences that divided the two groups. Enough time has gone by since those events to put them away for good and turn our attention to the present and future of our sport. If you feel old feelings coming back, remember the "statute of limitations" concept, and tell yourself, "Time's up. I'm not going to have those feelings anymore."
Shut up DJ.......LOL

This is why it takes you guys 10,000 cast to catch 1 musky!
To much time online and not enough on the water!
What bickering? So far as I recall nothing has happened recently. I guess someone was wrong with their accusation!
"The statute of limitations" very well said! I am new to this site and look forward to reading some great things from its members. Good helpful positive advice is always welcome from my end.
haha, No way....if you eat a bass or musky, your bowels will explode, releasing toxins
into your bloodstream. Its a very slow and painful death. I know,I responded on a 911 call like this and I saw it on an episode of House.

I have to agree with Rich, what bickering? Maybe I missed something.

Dont make me come into this forum and talk about all the BBQ Muskipies Kevin B. and I have had. Most scrumptious fillets ever!!
Clif, your playing with my emotions. Write me a post it note the next time we go bass'n to kick you in the nuts. haha
Mr.W, I only half heartly agree with your statement. You are right on about supporting the Musky fishery..Thats about it though. We (CMA) came here to do a couple of things. Promote the fishery..promote a catch, photo and release idea. To FISH! To talk about it and share info to help other folks get onto the same enjoyment that we all have about Muskies in general.Did I mention FISH? We came here to get away from the politics of a National organization. We did not split. We chose to resign..thats way different. We are not a part of M.I period. We have Musky Tournaments because 1. its a freekin blast. 2.) you meet a bunch of great fisherpersons. 3.) its a fundraiser for our club. 4.) its a freegin blast to fish these fish!5.) its competitive..you against the fish..nothing better than that 6.) To promote Cascade Musky Association..WE ARE WASHINGTON STATES' OWN!
There is now controversy here.Huh? ok. We came here to get out of that politico stuff. We are a small yet very productive group that are very dedicated to the fishery and the community. We are movers! We are leaders! We are doers! We are friends and we will back each other up! WE ARE WASHINGTON STATES' OWN! We grow each day as people and outdoors persons. We learn. We teach and we FISH. This is our forte'... To FISH.
The us vs. them thing is not on us. We didnt do anything.Didnt start it,stayed away from it. Period. A couple of folks just need to understand that! You can either join us or get out of the way. Or they need to do whatever it is that they are doing. But do it over there. We have moved onward. Trying to promote the fishery and all positives of this fish being here. They need to stop..
"Statute of Limitations" for what? Mr.W, you stating something here that you shouldnt be saying? What the hell? We have brought on board a bunch of folks that want to FISH Muskies.I have personally taken people out just for the thrill of this ride of a lifetime. They visit this site all the time..We promote the day lights out of it at each meeting. We tell our members go to www.wafish.com Every meeting! So i dont know guys. We have not been saying or doing anything wrong here..Theres no bickering here. Theres no bickering while talkin' fishing. All i want (as do my CMA comrades) is get in my boat and FISH for these Tigers. And put a 50" + inch fish in the net..Just gotta wait a bit yet... And eat some bass..thats for our new friend Clif..dont worry they taste "muddy" so i wont'and dont. Besides i like apples more....and we will keep the fishing reports coming..thanks

Don, I know you mean well but type your statute of limitations post on the other musky site. That's where it's needed.
CMA is not interested in political BS. We are way to busy having fun and fishing.
