I was there Friday and Saturday.  Judging by my prefishing I hope the fish find ME this weekend.  I was on an awesome 2 pounder pattern though.  See you there

Friday I caught 11 fish . The big ones were 2 pounds. Saturday I caught 4 and the big ones made 2 pounders look huge.  Mike ...I saw where you were fishing and you were way off the 2 pound bite. HA!

Jeff - let me give you some good advice.

If you see Mike Bess fishing, you are in the WRONG part of the lake. I don't care what lake we are talking about, or what time of the season it is. Pick up your trolling motor quickly, and make a move. If you don't your luck will only get worse, and you will have yourself to blame. 

If you would like proof, I would refer you to ANY tournament results posted, in which Mike competed. Unfortunately, you will notice my name next to his in many of these.....I speak from firsthand experience. If he tries to blame it on me - I would point out that his dismal finishes come with multiple tournament partners - the common denominator is?

Dana- My only hope is that there was a fish kill this week....

Jeez---I was fishing Russ Bakers hotspots last weekend and was bagging 30lbs a day. Try flipping a jig like the master. Wish I had the time to fish the tournament this weekend, I would destroy the rest of the field (based on my incredible pre fish of course).

I understand.  Fortunately, when I saw Mike..I was on plane moving around but..( coincidentally every time) he was drifting next to Roy Hobbs.  Probably looking for the secret bait or fishing spot or even a waypoint from the GPS.  I don't know Roy as well as you guys do, but I am pretty sure that he is slick enough to use decoy baits and other tactics for situations just like that.  

I appreciate your warning Jon, and might actually run like a cat if I run across him while fishing.  For the record though, I DID ask him if he wanted to fish together for this tournament and he declined.  Not sure how to feel about that, but at least I won't have to include myself in the list of past partners on the results of shame stat line.

I think you should come over and fish with me.........you are due for a good finish right?

I caught a bunch of fish but they were all around 2 lbs. I caught two 4 pounders in the first 15 minutes and then lost another at the boat but after that it was a clone fest for me. I talked to bess and he said the same thing. Caught a bunch but were all 2 pounders. I ended up in 9th I think with just under 14  lbs. Jordan did well and it took 19 to win Saturday.
