I know you all have been chomping at the bit to see how it all turned out, here you go.
Other than the wind that came up halfway through the day you couldn't ask for a better winter day, 5th year in a row we have had that great cooperation.
I need to thank the sponsors as well,

Congrats to everyone that did well!! That was a killer bag that Tom Librande brought in! I sure would have been shocked to see one big largemouth let a lone two!!
Congratulations to Evergreen Bass Club for another fantastic and fun tournament, and best of all for a great cause in supporting our Wounded Warriors. Thanks to all who participated for this noble cause.
This tournament is always well organized and very enjoyable. The bite was very typical for a clear, February day. There were enough bites to keep it interesting, but you had to be precise and confident even when the bass refused to bite so you were prepared when they did. Those who relentlessly fished lures and techniques that are proven to work eventually caught bass (once they decided to bite).
You know bass fishing has arrived in the land of salmonids when you have 33 teams show up to Lake Sammamish on a frigid February tournament!
ciao,
Marc Marcantonio
Thanks Willie and Evergreen for running a great tourney. I hope to make it out this year to help in getting the soldiers out fishing. ( health permitting).
Bite was fast and furious till 9:30. ( If you call getting 8 bites and 5 fish to the boat ) We had our weight by 9:30 and then went dinking around until 11:30 when Rob and I went Largemouth fishing. Hey you gotta try if your going to catch em. ( Except if your Lowe / Labrande ). No luck with the green fish but managed to get one more smallie in the afternoon.
We caught ours on a variety of baits. We kept downsizing weight and size of the bait until we dialed it in. Key for us was slow, slow, and slower in 48 to 57ft.
Mark

Great Turn out! Congrats to all who cashed a check, and even to those who caught a fish, it can be very tough, so congrats on that.
