Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

The weather held up for the guys fishing the Mickelson on Lake Washington on saturday all the way until the end of the day.  There were 23 boats total. Mark Maderos and Russ Baker took the W with a 5 fish weight of 15.22lbs. 2nd place was Gabe Lowe and Tom Librande with 14.33 and 3rd place was Dez Ruffin and Ryan Fottore with 12.6lbs.

Nice work to the guys who did well. Sounds like the majority of the fish were caught dropshotting along with a few on football heads.

Tyler and I ended up in 7th with 10.55lbs, all caught on either dropshot or football heads anywhere from 15-35 feet of water. There was no lack of fish caught but finding fish with size was tough.

Dave and I struggled... Had a very good prefish and found biting fish but could not get them to go. Decided to go after some green and found a few, missed big fish by .08lb... Funny story is big fish got caught about 5 min after I caught mine about 50 yards away... I am glad the weather was not as bad as they called for and it was actually a very pleasant day of fishing except for the lack of catching fish (:

The full results and pictures will be on the Hawg Hunter website as soon as our webmaster gets back from the Triton Owners tourney. Great job everyone!

We found a great spot in prefish and got lucky that the fish held up in this spot. Caught all our fish by 9 am in 24 to 30 ft of water with drop shots. After that we spent the day looking for a big fish with no luck. Caught plenty of fish that couldn't help us through out the day. It was a great time and as usally Puyallup ran a great tourney.

I might need another partner he's always trying to get a glimpse at my wood. LOL

Tourny turned out pretty good. Weather wasn't quite as bad as last year and that is all I had hoped for. Got a check out of the deal as well, which is nice.

Jordan- That's pretty close to the correct spelling of my last name. Way better than Larry gets it Fatorei-zhqbdf LOL
