Evergreen Bass club is hosting the 6th annual Freeze your bASS blast again this year on Feb. 18th 2012 on Lake Sammamish.
This has been a great way to kick off the year for a while so get the boat ready and come out and take a shot at the $1000.00 big fish pot again this year.
All proceeds go towards our 4th annual Take a Warrior fishing event to be held in July, what a great way to thank the men and women who sacrifice so much for us all.
There has been an average of 30 boats in the past so let's see if we can hit 40 this year and help out a great cause.
We are keeping the 3 fish limit in place again and are offering one unlucky team their money back if they don't catch anything during the tournament, and as always we will have free hot dogs, doughnuts and coffee for all that show up. Our raffle has been worth the trip alone and we don't plan on it being any less this year.
Download the entry form and get it in the mail now, there is a $10.00 cash only late fee the day of the tournament so get them in early, (t also helps us plan ahead a little)
Thank you all for your support in the past and we hope you all can come out and kick the new year off with us.

Is it 3 keepers per person or boat?
3 keepers per boat. This was done to try and reduce mortality rates of catching deep winter fish. Also it keeps more teams in the hunt. Catching 3 is alot easier than 5 at this time of the year.

ok, cool. I like that idea!
Something else i was wondering.... back before i left tournaments, we just started the "no trolling" rule which ment no dragging C-rig's because, in a sense, your trolling on the bottom. Is that rule still in place? is there a list i can download for boat items? I have current fire-X and flares, insurance, boat banner, working live wells and such. like i said, its been atleast 10 or 12 years lol
All that offroading and competition Mudd Boggs have clouded my head lol super swampers and dana 60's.....
Ok, cool. I use to let the wind push me around and such. My main thing about getting out there is just searchin the lake. With never fishing it before, i just gotta get the feel for it and of course the fish are there lol where else would the go :D But yah, I have all the items, even went and got my boating license. just looking forward to good healthy fun competition!!!
So let's hear some predictions for this year. I think Ron Hobbs Jr's team will win this year. The last time this event took place with crappy weather, Ron and Eric took it home! I have a strong suspicion that Ron will catch a 4.5lber on his last cast to propel his team to victory, just like he does every tournament. He will catch his fish on a G-Loomis 893c with Diawa reel paired with 12lb Invisx. The baits of choice will be grubs on 3/4oz football heads just dragging it over the rocks. The bite will come when the bait is falling off the rocks. Ron is just sooooo good...... I can't forsee anyone else winning. Let's hear your thoughts???
Dude, get off your knee's!!!!! Just kidding Chad, Yeah, there are definitely alot of good anglers that could easily win it. Last year we did well, caught 6 fish total w/ best three going 10lbs for 2nd place.... That being said, it was luck that one of the fish was a 4.1lb smallie..... So in winter bass fishing there is a big element of luck as to getting a big fish bite. It's not like you can go out and target a big fish pattern in 50ft of water...... You get the bites you get, and get lucky if they happen to be 3 or 4 lber's instead of 2 to 3 lber's....
My guess for this year's winners will be Maderos / Maglio.... Hey I got to vote for myself!!!!!!!!
But realistically, I figure that there is about 8 teams who have a legitimate shot at winning.
Hobbs / Wolsky
Doucet and whoever he fishes with
Labande / Lowe last year's winners
Maderos / Maglio
McHenry's
Cooper / Johnson
just to name a few...

I think 10.5 lbs takes it. Big fish of 4.6lbs
Calm down, or we will ban rev-rigging!
I like your list, except I would throw on Willie Parsons/ partner, and John Mark Minica/Derek Eggimann

I'll put in my guess...
1. Wolsky
2. Doucet/Rider
3. Lowe/Librande
I don't think the weights will be as high. 9.7lbs to win with a 3.8 big fish. I wasn't out there but heard there were a lot of boats out there over the weekend, hope everyone didn't beat up all their stuff too bad!
Hope everyone has a great time at this tournament, should be a good one!
