Wednesday night shootout begins tomorrow - Wednesday June 12, at the Potholes, Blythe Ramp. Sign ups and livewell check between 4 and 4:45, blastoff at 5 pm. 9:00 weigh in to be held at the MarDon Marina Gas Dock. This season will run through August 28, every Wednesday night. This is a 4 hour, one fish, big bass tournament. $35.00 buy in, biggest fish of the night takes all, 100% payout.

The rules are simple: Don't be late for weigh in, must be within sight of TD at 9:00 or dq'd.  Keep track of your fish, take care of your big fish, no dead fish will be weighed. All boats welcome, aluminum, kickboats, etc., must have working livewell or means to keep fish alive. Up to 3 people per boat, just in case you need to bring two partners.

So come on down and be part of the fun... and stick a big fish.

Permit for these events will be onsite.

Sounds fun wish I could make it. Have fun all.

Any idea how many will be there? I would be interested if good turn out....Its a drive from the tri cities

I'm thinking around ten maybe more for the first one

I may make it, I will try

cool lets get the word out we should avg around 30 once it gets going

How'd it go?

With only 1day notice of the shootout we had 2 boats and 4 players all went well except we all BLANKED!! big 0 who would of thought fishing the best 4 hours of the evening and not a single bite...all and all we had a great night and the winner of the first WNS bye a four way flip of the coin was Anthony W. taking the 140.00 pot with a smile and a see you next week grin on his face.

Next week should be a better turn out and hopefully better fishing :)    sign ups start a 4pm @ the blythe ramp

I'm curious to know how you got the permitting for these? With so many permits required didn't it cost you an arm and a leg with the $24 for the permit plus $70 per permit fee? Were you able to find a loophole and classify each lake as one tournament over multiple days? I ask not to bust your balls, but to help all of us that are planning permits for next year and trying to figure out how this new fee works.

Also how did you get around the 2 tournament weekends a month- was it that your tournaments didn't count because of the short length or weekday thing?

Jordan it took awhile going back and forth with WDFW to find the loopholes it was a two part deal being that wednesday is not a weekend so they waived that part then we looked at the price for 12 wednesday tourneys 1,128.00 so in the interest of our sport they classified the WNS as one tournament on the potholes over multiple day's therefore a 70 app.fee and a 24 dollar permit fee was all that was needed for the 12 week season.

hope this helps everybody out and if you can make it to one of these I'm sure you will have a great time and possibly win some  big $$$$ ....

Awesome work Mitch! I'm glad to hear they worked with you on that. Did you bag the Moses tournaments though?

I will most likely be in on a few of these. July is gonna kill me though as I will be working a 35 day shutdown.

I may be down to give this a go this Wednesday.  Would have been there last week, but was stuck in Montana working.  Wanting to try every format that tourney fishing has to offer this year.  I've done the club thing, Qualifier, ABA, and jack n' jill. I'm kind of like a circa 2011 Tiger Woods right now...   Just want to sample all the goods a bit, and see which ones are most fun and fit my "game".
