 I would be shocked if we don't represent at least half of the state team.

My club Northend Bass is sending 10 members to the Qualifiers

Hawg Hunters will be sending a 8 man team this year ..

I also will be fishing as a buy~in with Wes

Looks like the turnout is shaping up to be good thus far . CANT WAIT :)

With the huge turnout this year will they be giving a boat away like the good old days? I heard they have boats at limit out marine?

Speaking of the good ol days of great turn out , What gives with the East side guys ? are the only TBF clubs in our state only located west of the mountains ?

By my math it seems to be:

TBF = West Side

BASS = East Side

If thats pretty much the case why not try the new math :

TBF = ALL West side lakes

BASS = ALL East side lakes

Seems too work out very nice for ABA , right ?

BBD,

At $4+ per gallon I agree. Although I'm not sure I can agree with your comment of it working for ABA when the pull is only 10-15 boats/tournament.

Lmao ..tru dat Jordy ! See ya saturday bro

Gentleman,

When the WSBF qualifier schedule first came out I brought this exact topic to Russ's attention. In fact we had about a half hour discussion about this on the phone. I'm with Dez/Jordan 100%, and I was very forward about that. There are numerous reasons why it should be different. I will state that this years tournaments were voted upon last year with different people in office. Next years tentative schedule will have 2 here, and 1 at Roosevelt. I think all 3 should be here. There is plenty of good water that can accomodate based on historical participation. Lower Columbia, silver, riffe, alder, mayfield, washington, sammamish, whatcom, american, and tapps all come to mind. I felt like I've already exasperated my voice on this topic, and it frustrates me to no end. Bottom line is, if you want growth you need to listen to the people you represent! 95% of your participation comes from the westside. These aren't big money tournies, and frankly I don't want to drive half way to Egypt to fish a single one of them. I did get the proverbial, if you wan't your voice heard you need to come to the meeting in Ellensburg, or send your concerns in written form statement. This isn't government. Heck, the by-laws are so outdated it's ridiculous. I know I also have the option to become an officer, but it's not in the works with 3 young kids. I will also state that there is no monetary compensation for those who donate there time to making the WSBF work, and for that I thank you. I really hope Russ, or other officers will chime in on this, and we can get a legit conversation rolling.

He hit the nail on head IMO with that statement . Attending the meetings  and voicing the concerns will be the only way to change a lot of things with the TBF . Not everyone has the time to attend these meetings due to other requirements at the home front , work , etc .

However anyone of your club members are always welcome to join these meetings.

The # 1 complaint i here from the folks that do attend these meeting all say the same thing , NO ONE IS EVER THERE !

We can talk about change untill we are blue in face , unfortchantly it does no good unless we are sitting in front of the TBF board members and making motions too vote for change .

I also want to point out one more thing about fishing the  TBF events that is also very relevant to our state . The TBF is not and never has been centered around being a big money event for competing anglers . The TBF was grass rooted around the simple notion of advancing The weekend Warriors (local tourney anglers) into the  national reconition spotlight i.e THE TBF NATIONALS .

This was a very eye opening experiance for myself & Chris when we attended lastyear . It didnt take long for us too hear about how other states & regions feel about anglers from washington state .

In a nut shell guys they called us "weak , whimpy anglers, non threats , etc " .The guys from idaho love to remind us every sigle year that they have been whipping our tails at divisionals for the past 5 + years  .

Tell ya what guys , I kicked my boater from idaho arse in montana two years ago and gained a ton of respect from there team . These guys are good dont get me wrong but they are not as untouchable as they like too come across . All i ask is to Remember this thread going into the 2013 divionals and lets make it a point too prove to all the regions and the nation that anglers from Washington are some the best the westcoast , period !!  dont let me get into my zone :)

Dez "The Sophomore"

I would fish these no problem but I fish ABA and have to fish to qualify to fish championship.. Other than that I would love to fish TBF..
