Hi Jason,
I haven't had the chance to use the Talon enough yet to give it an accurate review but all I can say is make sure you've got the updated mounting hardware, the old stuff is flawed bugtime. The nice thing about the Talon is it is very easy to install, comes with a remote and has some cool features such as rough water mode and auto up and down. The disadvantages are the frame always stays at the same height, unlike the power pole that goes all the way down and out of the way.
The powerpole is proven but takes some installation time for the unit, pumps and remotes, and money to buy the extras that the talon comes with.
Either way, if you only get one, you'll wish you had 2.
Was that you out on Washington today before the Superbowl? I was in the red/silver Ranger Z20. Come over and say hi next time :-) Fish'n was good!
