Not many anglers from the Pacific Northwest ever get in a national publication. Well I'm Glad to say that one of us has made it and the article is VERY GOOD! Please check out the article in the above link.
Thanks!!!!!

No Joel I did not see marks photo on the cover of Bag. No one told me about it. What is BAG? Is that a magazine? I'm always glad to see news from the northwest! I feel the area is not well covered. We are starting to get some bigger tourneys coming to the Columbia River and that is always good to see.

Ronald I fish all kinds of baits but some baits fit my style and I fish them more. I have landed bass over 7 pounds with: jigs, crank baits, grubs, buzz baits, poppers, spinner baits, hoola grubs, plastic worms and senko. I am a versatile fisherman. If one lure out produces another lure which will you use? the less productive lure for that day. I do not get bored with catching fish! I do not have problems with twisted line when dropshotting, you may like to change your line after a few trips if you are using light line. As for how many days I fished last year, it was about 50 days (having a new girlfriend put a little crimp in fishing time. I count each bass I catch, to me one =one. As for the log I fill some information in as I am on the water and other parts when I get home 10 to 15 min. total. As for changing size of senko, yes I do. But I have been fishing more for smallmouth this last year the smallies like senko less than 5 inches best and they LOVE the three inch. I even fish a two inch senko from time to time when I enjoy catching four pound smallmouth on my ultra light rod and 4 pound test, now that is a fight!

Were my comments deleted because they were offensive Roger? If so, none of my comments were intended to be offensive, just think it would be great to hear more from you besides posting articles about yourself. Great job though, thats quite an accomplishment for you and that was a good article. Did you see Marc is on the cover of BAG?

Good Job Roger, I think you took my first comment out of context, but I don't think you had to erase it. I did go back and watch some of your YouTube videos, I thought they had great information in them. With your comment I wasn't calling you out for knowing it all, and I do agree when a bass fishermen stops learning is when he should stop fishing.
I have a few questions:
So don't you get bored by using one bait all the time? Isn't it more satisfying to catch fish with different techniques than just one? Do you think when you use hollow lead for a dropshot weight it attracts the fish when it flutters and twists as is sinks to the bottom, or does it just twist your line? How many days did you fish last year? Did you count all the bass you caught or just the ones over a certain size? How long does it take you to fill in your log after a fishing trip? Do you fish from shore on the Columbia like in your video? Do you ever change things up and use a 6" senko?

I better say this before someone tries to nail me with it! I do not know it all! I too am in the process of learning. I pick new things up all the time that I did not know before. That is the nature of this sport. It is something you can never total know everything about bass and how they live and react to the conditions we and they face. THANK YOU for all your support over the years! Roger

I have tried very hard over the years to help bass fishermen with catching more bass, and understanding bass behavior. I have done hundreds of seminars and produced highly detailed maps of our local waters and made them available to all. Not to mention the ten plus years of guiding on our local waters. I guide now but not for money but for the satisfaction of helping others. I have shared tons of information with anglers all over the country. I have created many video to help bass fishermen of all skill levels. I help about 40 fishermen a week with questions they have. Because they thirst for knowledge and I love that about bass fishing. We are all striving to be the best we can at this sport we love so much. I have spent years with my research not counting the incredible amount of hours on the water and documenting all the things I have picked up over the many years. I continue to work on my book on bass fishing.
For some of the skeptics out there, I even do all this for you. But it’s not about me! It’s about our sport! And helping those that thirst for more understanding of bass and there behavior. If you look over my youtube video and do not learn something you did not know before I would be shocked. Our sport can be filled with very protective people, protective of the valuable information that was gained by hard work and many hours on the water. This is a great sport and it has given us much joy. Now spread the joy by helping others.
If you have any question about bass fishing, please feel free to post it here or on youtube or even email me.

THANK YOU!!!!!
