Aaron, I don't know any guys that get kick backs or anything like that for selling a boat. I think only the salesman might get a small commission. I am a pro staff guy with a fully wrapped nixon's marine boat, and I will only tell someone my whole hearted truthfull opinion. No agendas here I am only trying to help another angler get what he or she needs or wants.
My truthfull opinion is that Nixon's Marine is the only bass boat dealer in this state. They have a fully stocked shop, so when something goes wrong you won't get the line "Well, we can order it for you" Jeff Priester knows bass boats and motors from the inside out he has been working around them his whole life. He told me he worked at Nixon's Marine when he was in high school sweeping floors. I don't know if there is too many guys in the whole entire state that know more about the boat business than Mr. Preister. On the other hand he has hired the best mechanic in any boat shop, Grant.
You might say I am biased but there are countless other guys out there from the entire West not just the Northwest that would back me up 100%.

There are plenty of "pro staff" guys who want you to buy the same boat from the same guy as them because of kick backs and discounts that they get. You need to wade through the sales pitch's to get to the real information. I don't think that there is really a poorly made boat new at a dealership right now. Well, unless you go to a bayliner dealership. But, at least Force outboards went away!

Pro-Staff guys do get deals on the boats up front though, right? I was offered one of these deals in exchange for time at shows, test rides, and referals. It just didn't work out at the time.

Aaron I represent Triton not because I get a good deal, I most likely could have had a good deal on any other boat as well. I chose to represent Triton because of I think they have the best mix of qualities I wanted in a boat. If I thought there was a better tool, I would go buy it, deal or no deal, because the guys I compete against don't mess around.
Most guys make boat judgements on what they hear or read, I made my boat judgements on what I drove. I have drove Stratos, Champion, Skeeters zx and I, Rangers vx and z series, Basscats, Legend probably a few more as well. I have alot more to go off of than the average guy I not only drove them I fished from them as well. Lucky for the consumers that most dealerships will be happy to set up ride alongs with there "pro staff" guys.
