Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

I'm trying to introduce two kids to fishing(without a boat).  I thought the Montlake cut would be a good multi-species place to keep them busy.  Here are my questions-1.)  Where do you fish on the cut? and 2.)  Are there restrooms or porta-potties nearby?  Thanks for the help.

Better spots are around, with access to better fish-holding water and restrooms. The first two that come to mind are Gene Coulon Park and Log Boom Park, give those a try.

How about the Fremont cut? Any good spots for teh kids?

I don't know how to respond to the individual posts.  Just wanted to say thanks for the input 10key.  I tried Log Boom Park last year but it was early.  4 rods, 4 hours.  Not a sign of life.  I tried every lure and presentation known to man plus live bait.  I'll try it again this year but later.

Thanks also to Elijah.  Sad story about the cut being abused.  Good info on Log Boom Park.

hey Sir.

do you want to try to get them out in a boat? or do you prefer to take them off the bank?. If you want we can get them on the boat on lake Wa or some of your stomping grounds from the past up north as well. i'll get your number from your son or you can message me it.  not sure if i owe you guys or you guys owe me a ton for getting me into these fish sooooo long ago. :)

Some of you must not have been to Log Boom in a while. They poisoned it last year. There's no vegetation anywhere. I don't know what kind of shape it will be in this year but last year it was a graveyard.

Thanks for the information.  That explains a lot.  I was a witness at the funeral.
