What kind of tube do you guys use.  I normally use either 3.5 yamamoto or 3.5 coffee tube in green pumpkin or watermelon

Adam,

I'm not really partial to any style, brand, or color of tube, but in situations with current or if fishing from the back of the boat I appreciate a texas rig'd tube.  Seams to attact some big bites and works better in stained water with the bead and weight clicking together calling fish in.  If anything else, I simply enjoy t-rig'd tubes because I fish more than I re-tie.  You may miss more bites on small fish, but if you rig it properly and use a thin walled tube, the big ones hook up just fine.

Jerry's Tubes.  3.5 in smoke w/purple/gold flake.

Smoke Purple flake, and natural craw.

They pretty much are all the same, I usually use a BPS tube for smallies the 50 packs usually go on sale every year and thats when I buy, they are hard to beat, I use the tender tube and the flipping tube for smallies.  For Largies I am a die hard reaction innovation boom boom tube guy.

I have used a lot of different tubes and have this year re-discovered the versatility of the tube bait.  I use Ribbed Tubes from YUM with success on Largies, Yamamoto tubes are good for Largies too.  I like Jerrys, Gitzit, and some other I can't remember the name of for Smallies.  Like Snake I love T-riggin the old tube but this year thanks to some good friends of mine I discovered a couple new rigs that are absolutely deadly at times.  In the winter I have success on Sammamish and WA crawling a Coffee Tube on an inside the tube jighead along the bottom.
Provider Tackle has great tubes...

Like Ron, Reaction Innovations Boom Boom tubes for green is my standby.

For brown, I've used a bunch of different types, but my new favorite is the Bass Kickin' Baits Tubes from Les Whitley.

Jordan, do you know if Kickin'/Les sell their tubes in bulk? I like to buy 50 or 100 at a time.
thank you for all the help and i think i will try t-rigging one next time i go out.  Tubes are my main bait and i always want to get better also what size weight and hook do you use when t-rigging your tubes.

The tube is so versatile, and so should your weight selection, 1/32 oz to 1/2 oz. are the weights I use for my tubes for texas rigging.  It all depends how, what, where and when you are fishing them, and that is a whole other topic in itself that I would rather dive into.

Light enough to not pass fish by and heavy enough to get your tube where fish live, would probably be the best answer for you.

rzone 3 rivers marine in woodenville carries a few of my tubes. send me an email of what you are looking for. Also my 5.5" tube is incredible for flippn.

And yes thanks Jordan for using my baits and dont forget look for some custom one of a kind baits that will be sold only at 3 rivers marine. They should be on the shelves this weekend or early next week. Heres a hint of the baits 6" floating, wacky, edible.

I can also make custom senko type baits in pretty much any color. Jordan Doucet and Tito have seen and used some of my custom stuff. I call mine Thugs,

Thanks

Les Whitley
