We decided for our second trip in our new boat to do Lake Washington. I've read many gripes about amateur launching and I've done it only a few times myself, so what place is the quietest for beginners to launch into Lake Washington?

I heard about the porn stache- gay.
I launched at Atlantic City for years and never had a problem.

Ron- Of course you've never been broken into. Who would mess with a guy wielding a stache like yours?

Thanks for all the tips! I'll eventually try most of them but it looks like the I-90 ramp is the winner for tomorrow.

I-90 gets my vote easy, plenty of room and decent dock (not slippery.. unless wet and shitty) and close to good fish.

Sand Point gets my vote if you are new to launching your boat. Quieter than Coulon and plenty of room.

Coulon cost $20 to launch a boat now, that being said you might want to try somewhere else. Rainier Beach has a nice launch, the area isn't the best but I have never been broke into there.

The launch on Mercer Island isn't too bad........except on the weekends after 10:00AM when everyone with a "new" boat or jetski is trying to put in.
E Mercer Way exit, right under I-90
Good Luck (and the fishing isn't bad right there either)

Coulon has tight parking, so be warned!

Coulon will give you plenty of room to manuever and if you go early enough you should be fine.

Sand Point Magnuson Park..

It's pretty low key, easy access off 520, and plenty of room.
