Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

It's that time again to get ready for the Freeze your bASS blast, February 19, 2011 on Lake Sammamish. This is the 5th annual and we at Evergreen Bass club are looking forward to seeing all the regulars and a bunch of new faces this year. We had 38 boats last year and would like to see at least 40 this year.

We use these tournament proceeds to fund the take a Warrior fishing event we have held the last 2 years to help thank the enlisted men and women for all they do for all of us.

With a chance at $1000.00 for the biggest live Bass who wouldn't come out and have a good time?

We are planning on using the 3 fish limit again this year which has leveled the field out a little and made a limit more achievable for this time of year.

We are imposing an off limits period this year to give the fish some stability before the tournament.

The off limits period will start at 12:01 am Saturday February 12, 2011 and continue to be off limits until the tournament starts on Saturday February 19, 2011.

(Friday the 11th is the last day of prefish)

I know this will cause some grumbling but the fish will be much more apt to bite on tournament day.

We will have the rules and entry forms posted on our website later this week as well as a link here for the entry form for those that want to send it in sooner, the entry fee is still $125.00 plus $25.00 for big fish pot option if postmarked before February 8, 2011.

A $10.00 cash only late fee will be added on tournament day.

If anyone is interested in making donations to the raffle or towards the Warrior fishing event we would really appreciate the help.

I can be reached at 253-606-0518 or at Evergreenbassclub@comcast.net with any questions, Thanks again and hope to see you all out there.

If there's an open back seat out there, I'd love to fish this one.
I went to Sammamish today to post the off limits information and noticed a few familiar trucks in the parking lot, looks like some last minute checking going on. Hope to see lots of boats next weekend, looks like the water level has dropped a foot or so since last weekend.

Looking forward to it Willie! When is your take a Warrior fishing event this year?

It will be in July, not sure of date yet.

What time are you guys going to be there in the morning for late sign ups? Me and Mark Mrzena are gonna come up and try our luck. I have been up to the raffles before, but this will be my first run at this tourny. It should be a fun way to dust off the cob webs!
Gates open at 5:30am !!!

As Dez said the gates open at 5:30 we will start reigistration as soon as we get set up, around 6:00, drivers meeting at 6:30 blast off at 7:30, weather/light permitting.

Just got saturday off Im in!  See you bright and early saturday morning!

I wish i was going to be able to be there but instead i get to spend the weekend in a cabin with the family since there is not enough snow on the ground to ride some sleds.

The weather looks to be.....clear.   Bout 30 at 7 am and it is supposed to heat way up about mid day, 41 being the peak.  Put on a few layers and it should be a fun day.

Dez- get there on time, I know how you like to show up 3 seconds before take off

So what were the results.

Who won?

Big Fish?

Tom Librande won with mid 12's. He had two largemouth and a smallmouth for his 3 fish limit. He also had big fish for his lagremouth that was 4.8lbs.

Chris and I weighed 7.48lbs, but had a fun day on the water catching 13 fish and losing 4 for the day. Fishing was decent overall and the weather held up so no complaints here. I'm sure Willie will give a more detailed update.

Thanks Jordan
