Baitcast- Shimano !

Spinning- I have mostly Quantum, and I haven't had any issues with them, except they are heavy. Pflueger's are the best bang for the buck, but its the only reel that I've had the reel handle fall off of.

Abu Garcia here, the Revo series is sick, specifically the Revo Premier. Also, the new Orra for $99 blows every other reel in that price range out of the water IMO.
