Does anybody know just how well the weedless ones hold up? How many fish can you catch on one before it starts to tear apart?
I think they hold up and swim better than the regular 6" but that is just my little experience, I don't know what the guys say that use them a ton.

I saw those last night. very nice looking baits. I was curious to see if anyone has used them, and how the action is on them. Couldn't really tell from the pics, but it doesn't look like they have any sort of paddle tail on them, or any other features that would create a swimming action. I've been waiting to find the right trout swimbait, at a decent price, and these look like they could be the ones. Just would like to have some confirmation on them having good action before I order.
I Just baught a couple, They have the normal tail as the top hook model They swim great they are super soft I see no problems with not hookin a fish thet takes it.. Not to sure about longevity but I have caught fish on the top hook model and it has way exceeded my expectations..  I have lost more baits due to snaggin the bottom than to fish tearin them up.. So for what its worh I think its a great bait for the money.. And lets be realistic its very inexpensive in the swimbait market..

Are there any shops locally that carry these?

It just seems logical that since it's set up weedless, when you set the hook the bait will move more on the hook itself. I would think they're more likely to tear than with the one with exposed hook.

I used these a bit a couple seasons ago and caught some quality fish.  The durability seemed just fine.  Plus, with Mend-It or Pro Soft Bait Glue, any repairs can be made easily.  I agree with Ron, I like the performance and swimming action of the weedless model better than the 6" top hook Huddleston.  They are coming out with the 6.8, which is the 6" model with a larger tail for better "kick".

I have used both, weedless and non-weedless versions.  I never used the weedless enough to get a strike, but they swim good.  In my opinion I like the swim of the top hook better.  They are a tad heavier, so the ROF 12 has a nose down fall with the tail kicking it looks awesome.  The ROF 5's will sink horizontally and wobble side to side, doesn't look that realistic, but the fish probably don't care.

As far as what Tag mentioned, the Hudd 68 was released recently and went on backorder after a day or two.  A week or two later they added the trout color and they sold out again.  I bought one in perch and it swims AWESOME.  The larger tail makes all the difference.

The problem with the 6" hudds, alot of them swam crooked, alot of guys fixed this buy putting the 8" tail on their baits, guys around lake shasta have been doing this for years.

Honestly though I think that Eric Smith of previous known as Baitsmith has the best 6" wedgetail designed swimbait.  The other great thing is that he is another local company, and he has some of the best colors around, his perch pattern is just sick!  I have caught way more fish on the baitsmiths than the Hudds.  To me they swim way better, and at slower speeds, and faster speeds.  Support locals!
