I busted my e21 21 carrott gold carrott stick a few months ago and will never buy another. I went with the Abu Veritas series rods. I liked the 1st one I bought so much that I bought 4 more. They are just as light and more durable in my opinion

if i were you. i dont buy a carrot stix on my opinion its way better, lighter and more sensitive the duckett rod they have micro guides and trust me they are light and sensitive you can get it on tacklewarehouse here is the link. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Duckett_Micro_Magic_Split_Grip_Casti...

Mine busted last yr as well, on a 2lb smallie, i heard their blanks have improved but havent heard anything on cust. service.

My buddy just got a Veritas and it feels just as good as far as weight goes.

Many good rods are out and its hard to choose from. If you want a good rod you can put your money a lot of places but if you want the best I would give a hard look at Dobyns Rods they are priced right and have one hell of a warranty. The graphite and components put into the rods are the best for each series and many years experience of tournament anglers have also been put into each rod. Buy American, buy the best, buy a LOOMIS! There is a nice Mossyback in the classified section that Rod Wilson has for sale. That rod would make a good jig rod for fishing heavier cover! If you don't buy it, I might! I have no imput on the carrot stick, other than the fact a few guys in our club swear by them. What specific type of rod are you looking for anyways?

Thanks for all the replies fellas. I knew I could count on yall to give it to me straight. Shane I am totally shocked. I remember when we went fishing and you let me hold it. I had never held a rod so light. That was your baby. I also bought a Veritas a few months ago after owning a St. Croix Mojo Bass rod for about 1 hour before it broke! I love my Veritas too. I just wish they made them in med. with a mod. fast tip for a addition crankin stick. I will probably get a Abu Vendetta. My G Loomis med/lt crankbait rod snapped but that rod is more for light cranking anyhow. So I'll take the carrot stix off of my list of "I want".

I bought a e21 Micro guide carrot stick on sale it's a 7ft x heavy.  I am gonna try froggin with it until it breaks in half.  Hope to get at least a summer out of it!  I mostly just wanted to get a rod to see if the micro guides are worth anything.
