Fish Lake??

There are some pictures in the store of nice largies, but I never caught any while trout fishing. I have a hard time believing it could ever be a good fishery due to it's elevation.

I've been fishing there many times for trout as well and have never seen a bass, but a friend of mine said they caught some really nice bass there... I'm going this weekend, ill have to do some investigating!!

Yes.  I have personally fished there for bass on more than one occasion.  Yes there are bass in there and there are some nice ones too.  I personally have caught fish over 5 pounds there.  (and that is not a fish story, I put it on my scale).  several fish in the 2 to 3 pound range last year just in one little area.  It is a fun little lake to fish.  Most people just don't fish it for bass. 

Last weekend I was talking to a guy who claims he even caught a smallmouth in there once, but I am not sure I can believe that one yet.  Need to see that for myself and have pictures to prove it. LOL 

 

By the way, my little picture there with my 2 kids and the bass was taken at fish lake last summer.

we did pretty good fishing for trout but the wind picked up at about 10am and blew us off the lake before i got a chance to go look for lunkers!!  I messed around a bit around the lilly pads by the boat launch but had no luck, im sure they are no where near that chaotic launch!!

That's exactly what happened!!!!!! I go there every year with my dad and he likes trout fishing so we were gonna catch trout in the morning then go bassin in the afternoon. Stupid wind!!

I was there for mothersday weekend and asked about bass, I was told to not even try until the end of summer when the water is warm...  post spawn is aparently the best time...

Thats just because they don't have the experience to fish them any other time.  Not to say that I do, but I have caught them from spring on.
