Honestly, I have more 1st place trophies at home from Sammamish than 2nd place trophies, now Lake Washington is a whole other story. Congratulations on the Scholarship win, that is awesome.  We are definetely going to kick some other clubs butts, I was trying to down play your participation, I didn't want the other clubs to realize how stacked our team is, I hope they still will show up.

I tried to ban myself, but we needed another boater. I had a great prefish a week ago on all your spots! I've caught fish every year in this tourny, so you're crazy! How come you didn't fish the scholarship this weekend, and donate your money to us like everyone else? Momentum and confidence are priceless, and right now I'm feeling pretty darn good! I have my own secret ringer this year from Sportco. He is bringing some secret baits from Skinny Bear and Panic Minnow that haven't hit the shelves yet! To bad you don't know about them. How many 2nd place trophies will this be for you on Sammamish? I still have never got 2nd in a team tourny. Some of us just know how to get it done!

Well, would love to help represent Western Bass Club on this one, but I will be out with Maglio killing some bambie's.  I hope to fare better this year in the killing department then last year. 0 for 1 .

We're so glad you're all going to make it this year! The company I work for has put into practice a new "lean program." We've focused on implementing new ways to cut back on paper, and waste. I feel this approach could come in handy for our competition. All the clubs could directly cut Evergreen a check, thus eliminating the middle man "WBA." Gregoire would be so proud of you!
Will there be a raffle after the tourny ?

I'm not hearing any rebuttle on this fellas... I hope we dont have teams droppin' out for fear of being schooled.  I'd love to see a big turnout for this. I'm stoked I get to fish it! See y'all Saturday.

Yes, there will be a raffle, with the proceeds going towards our Annual Big Brothers / Big Sisters fishing event.

As of now we have the following sponsors/items:

  • Three Rivers Marine and Tackle - Tackle packs, Shimano reel, contest banners, cull tags, swimbaits
  • WAFISH - Schwag
  • Nixons Marine - skeeter and triton hats
  • Dobyn's Rods - DX702 Dropshot Rod
  • Interstate Batteries
  • Big Bite Baits
  • Sunline
  • Limit Out Marine

Thanks to everyone above who was able to help and donate, specifically Kent Alger from 3 Rivers, Chris and Russ from Limit Out, Jeff from Nixons, Kevin Jones for a number of items and Willie Nelson from Dobyn's Rods.

You'll see the guys coming around in the morning and after the tournament with Raffle Tickets.

Looks like we may potentially have 8 clubs participate this year, that's 40 boats and possibly 80 anglers.

See you guys there.

Looks like morning fog for Saturday morning. Hopefully safety can be highly addressed at the drivers meeting. In the past, the combination of a Sammamish tourny + fog + stupid anglers as lead to some seriously reckless and dumb boat operation by competitors. Boat accidents occur, and nobody is invincible. If anyone is careless around me, I will personally knock you upside the head with our first place plaque!

And please make sure your kill switches are attached to your vest.

....or around your neck if you are gonna be stupid and fly at top speed thru a fog bank!

Just posted this in the bass forum, but FYI:

Through my recent workings with the Lake Sammamish State Park and conversations with the Park Ranger, I was notified of the new fee structure. Here's how it breaks down:

  • If you have a discover pass you need only pay the $7 launch fee
  • If you do not have a discover pass, you have to pay a $10 temporary pass fee as well as the $7 launch fee
  • If you only park your car in the park, you have to pay the $10 discovery pass fee unless you already have one.

The Ranger said he will be there checking on Saturday during the tournament and writing tickets for those who don't have the proper passes.

Do they provide lube with those fees?? Or is it just a dry reaming?
