Bring all your smack talk out to lake Sammamish on February 18th and take a shot at a cool $1000.00 for the big fish option pot, and much more!

Hey good job to everyone for fishing in that kind of weather. Would have loved to have been there but my lil girl wanted to have me at home with her so with no hesitation I stayed home.

Congrats to all who did well and to anyone that even decided to show up! Very impressive given the extreme conditions!!

Decided to bag out at the last minute because of the weather forcast and never really had high winds at my place in Ravensdale.  Thought I totally made the wrong call, but I guess the forcast was correct.  Glad everyone made it back safe.

We definitesy stuck it out in the hopes of getting some late bites. It just wasn't happening for us. My partner finally caught one on a drop shot. Thanks to Willie and all of Evergreen for a great event as always. Glad to donate to the warriors this year. Willie, do you have a tentative date for the warrior tournament?

We were actually wishing we had bagged out of this.  The weather was as bad as forcasted for once.  By 10 a.m., it was next to impossible to even tie on a new bait.  It was pretty much miserable and it reminded me why I prefer not to fish this early in the year unless the weather is nice.  Even after all of that, it was really still a great event for a great cause.  Congrats to all who made it to the end and the teams that weighed fish.  Pretty impressive in my book.

Take a Warrior Fishing will be held July 14th at American Lake. We will be looking for boaters to volunteer, as we are looking to accomodate 100 soldiers this year. I am in the middle of revamping our website right now, so once I get the new site up, there will be a page with all of the Warrior event info.

Thanks to everyone for their support at the FYBB yesterday!

Hats off too all the anglers that braved those crazy conditions !!

Lets also keep in mine the message that Hobbs talked about in regards to showing appreciation to the sponsors that donated to this event , very relevant for the future of our sport IMO ..

It was definitely cold out there on Saturday. I can't recall ever being that cold while fishing. Mike caught a fish early in the morning and I thought we would have a decent day. I caught the next one about 6 hours later and at that point assumed we were toast. Mike lost 2 more fish and I remember saying it didn't matter anyway becasue we weren't even close to being in it. As it turns out any fish that we would have caught to make it 3 would have gotten us paid. I never would have imagined the fishing was that bad.

The only thing worse than the fishing was the drive home. I left the lake at 4:15 and arrived home at 12:30 Sunday morning.

Thanks again for putting this on Willie/Evergreen fellas. It's always good to see the familiar faces again and get back into the swing of things a little whilst we wait for the Spring to come.

I can honestly say that was one of the nastiest days I've ever been on Sammamish weather wise. Sustained 20mph wind coming from the S/SW with a little rain mixed in was nothing nice!

Chris and I toughed it out on a variety of areas that weren't hidden at all for most of the day with the trolling motor on 50-75% just to have a reasonably slow drift since trying to stay still was useless. 3/4-1.5oz football heads were a must. On the bright side, we were able to get on any spot we wanted, but I'm still paying for the beating I took going from spot to spot, and swaying from trying to control the boat and fish in 3-5 footers.

One bad year in 6 isn't too bad though!
