Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

I Know its a ways off, but is there usually a flyer online anywhere that gives specifics on drivers meeting, off-limts, ect.  I'd like to fish it this year as I've never fished that stretch of river before.  Any info would be great.

Thanks,

My partner and I fished it last year and took 2nd place. The stretch has alot of nice fish in there. Prefishing for it was the most fun ive ever had fishing. Last year it was a one week off limit. Launch right in pateros. They have a facebook group as well.

Thanks Austin

My father wants to check out this section of the river in July. It's been on his bucket list for years! Anything he should look out for? Any dead stretches to the river he should avoid? Is the launch in Pateros the best one? Anything else?

THanks,

cs

Chad, I would launch at Brewster and stay up in that stretch of the river.  I would focus on the Okanagon river, the mouth of it and the river itself.  From there up river towards Bridgeport is where the majority of the fish are caught, at least for me.

SSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WCCT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL...

if you can get over and fish the Ray Stanley do it.. I fished it a couple times but haven't due to schedule issues the last several years. fun local tourny... hell just follow C-RIDE around.. hahaha sorry.

There is a shallow flat at the mouth of the okanogan. If i remember right u have to hug the steep rock side as that is the deepest part.

There is a very shallow flat on the right side heading up river right after the bridge if I remember right.  When in doubt, stay in the middle! LOL.  O'Connell would be a good guy to talk with about this. Hopefully he will join in on this thread.

There are some shallow flats on both sides and the water level varies so what is safe today may not be tomorrow. Chad when your dad comes this way get in touch with me and I can draw out the river channel on a map for him. He can also stop at the Triangle Shell in Brewster and talk to Bob. He is helpful to everyone.

Thanks for the insight everyone!

watch the middle too.. LOL.. once you pass pelican point (up river for okanogan) stay to the left .. the middle is only a foot deep.. my prop will confirm this.. ha... dawson's watched thinking maybe i knew something they didn't.. nope.. i DID NOT! ..  this is the area between washburn and the islands.

how did the tourny go?

Sounds like no one fished it.
