Got out today for three hours and caught one.  Sure felt GOOD to get that bite, Tag's jig, brown and blue.

First of 2013, and first fish in a WHILE !!

Nice fish David and Chris!! Can't really tell how big david's is cause it's so close to the lens but it looks nice.

U know I like to get 'em early Chris. Hopefully I can get out after work this week since my home projects are done.

Fish just under 5lbs. Hammered my jig

Good fish David, looked a little warmer where I was fishing.  Only had to throw on the jacket for the last 30 minutes.

How deep did you guys catch your fish?

What are some good early lakes in the south King, north Pierce area?  I am needing to get out and flip some jigs.

Maybe 5' deep

My fish was in 2 foot max.  DJ, I don't have much luck at this lake but I got a good jig miss last year in Feb so I figured I would try it again.  I would fish any small lake that has dirty water, I have a feeling it makes a difference when the water is cold.  I have fished LM close to a half dozen times this year.  I think the clearer water, if they are even there they see you coming from a mile away and your bait spooks them more than anything.

Hopefully one of these days I will feel confident catching cold water Largies.  I can point you to a video of a guy catching swimbait fish while he's standing in 1 feet of snow.  They gotta eat..  Crazy !

Here's an eastside entry, not much to brag about, but I am on the board for 2013:)   A Potholes fish caught around 25 feet deep in 37 degree water.  The walleye weren't cooperating, so I figured I would try for a bass.
