Feel free to post fish from other states - but extra points will be given to Washington State.

Like Ron said, early largemouth in Washington state are few and far between but I usually catch my first one in Late January or February. Smaller, darker colored lakes are a good bet.

Took a shot today. Struck out. Just couldn't get them to eat the frog...

Wasn't the freeze your bass won a few years ago with a couple greens?

Speed up your retrieve, brother...

I wasn't there but I heard it was, it isn't uncommon to catch largemouth in the winter time on Sammamish, I went 3 or 4 years in row before the Freeze, catching my first largemouth of the year on Sammamish in February......Jon Sessler was my companion in crime, as a matter of fact he caught the first I had ever seen in February on Sammamish, I am sure he has a few pictures of them laying around.

I heard a similar story before, except it was about a squirrel finding a nut.

Good Luck and have fun everybody.

Jon you look like some sort of mythical beast coming out of the fog holding a Largemouth...In February none the less, even more mythical!

I'll be heading out this weekend to try to break the ice (possibly literally) on a green fish. Looking forward to breaking out the rubber jigs and pork and maybe mixing in a spinnerbait slow rolled along submerged cover.

Anyone else going to make it out?

I'm going to head out tomorrow to a small lake near where I live. It's sounds like fun just to pitch some jigs for a change rather than fishing in 50ft even if I don't get bit lol. Hopefully the sun comes back out tomorrow.
