I use a lot of jigs.....lots of jigs, I think there are different benefits for each jig design....Tags story for example would those guys benefitted with a different head design and a lighter brush guard? If they were just swimming the jig I would say yes, but if the we're doing the famous post spawn rip (hook set) and fall....First intentions of a mop jig app...... maybe not. He said they were fishing it aggressively which I can assume alot of pops and rips, but how we're the fish eating it? On the fall or as it popped or at the dead spot between pop and fall or on straight retrieve. A lot of variables.
I love fishing swim jigs and Wolsky and I caught some serious fish on them in the last 5 years, tournament winning fish. But we have also caught tournament winning fish on flipping jigs.
IMO to say that they are the same is like saying ketchup is just like mustard.
Complimentary but very different.....
Some people only ketchup.....
Some people only mustard.....
Joel is one of these.......
Ketchup on a ham sandwich doesn't work.....
Mustard on French Fries doesn't work......
Hope you guys get my point....
As the spokesman for the SJB ("Swim Jig Brotherhood") it is my duty to inform you all that Hobbs is not at liberty to speak of any further details regarding the secrets of the jig on the move. He has taken a sworn oath and at risk of all future tournament winnings (which no doubt would be substantial) he has been effectively "gagged".
East coast guys no nothing of said jigs.
Good Stuff......
I am afraid to ask about the initiation ceremony involved to join that club...lol

My guess would be painful and humiliating.
Might be right in your wheelhouse Jeff.

Jeff,
Just close your eyes, take a deep breath, and go to your "happy place".... Potter tells me this works wonders for him...

Guilty as charged...damn copy and paste! We may be able to lift the gag order for this one special occasion. We don't meet again until next spring, but may have to call an emergency winter meeting. Just to be clear, is the information you are requesting (weight of the jigs) with or without a trailer?
Don,
What about your statement below! I thought we were all supposed to share?
On another note, something that we could do something about...Bass fisherman, especially tournament fisherman are the most closed-mouthed, secret-guarding bunch there is. This only hurts them in the end and causes lots of those "weird" questions Josh referred to. We don't do enough to promote our sport for fear of giving up some closely guarded secret that might win us a few bucks down the road. This is all a turn-off for sponsors and would-be or wanna-be tournament anglers.
