That is the Potholes open it is an invitational as far as I know not a true open. Western Bass Club mails out invites and you have to have an invite or you have to be fishing with someone who does. Those are the correct dates and I am almost positive someone will bring in a 25+lb bag on at least one day. I wish I could go over the week before and beat up on some of the community holes, but I'll have to settle for giving it a whirl tomorrow, Fri and Sat.

Western does not mail invites-The Potholes Bass Club mails the invites and runs the tournament.

Thanks Russ I was unsure of the club but I saw a thread on Western's website. Sorry about that my mistake.

It is open to about 120 teams. It fills up in about 3-5 days after invites are mailed, so you have to get your invite in quick. The way to get in is to fish with someone who has an invite so that you will get an invite the next year. My guess is that they have to do invites do to popularity of the tournament.

So I googled the potholes bass club and came up empty... anyone know of a website for the club?

There is no web site. I need to talk to the board about. Web sites are very easy to start up and don't cost much. Deffinatly a great club to join if you want to have fun. Great way to start fishing trounaments. All tournaments are one day, team tournaments, on some great bodies of water. I think we averaged about 25 boats a tournaments, and memebership has been growing fast. I think we are around 75 members right now.
