Anyone used one, how do you like it ?  What baits do you throw with it?  Thinking about getting one soon.

GIve Tdot a ring. I'm almost positive he has and loves his.
I have had that exact Quantum rod for almost 2 years. Used it a ton. My last trip out one of the guides 3-4 down from the tip just broke off. Went to make a cast and it was already broken and hanging. I use rod socks every time out. Kinda weary whether I should buy another, but I am bidding on one now with 1 day remaining so don't outbid me LOL. $80 shipped on BBC I saw a post on there.

I think I have gotten my hands on every Okuma but that rod. I have always wanted to get it, but just have put it off.

I have an email from the designer of the entire rod lineup. CB4 - If I can digg it up, I will send it to you. He gave me a complete break down of every rod, and every bait you can throw with it. Some of this stuff isnt online, and you really have to buy the rod to find out.

I will probably end up getting this rod, but it will have to wait until the end of the year.
Thanks T, send me the info on it if you can find it.
Chris if you get the okuma and dont like it I will buy it off you.
The Quantum is perfect for baits 2-3 oz. You can throw up to 5 oz, but its a chore. I am probably going to order the Okuma, I know it will last longer than the Quantum, may feel a bit heavier though. I need a lighter rating SB rod and I think the Okuma is just what I need. For $80 the Q is a great deal though. I think BB from the "team" bought one, I noticed him posting about it on WaFlakes last year.
And I was very happy with the Q until the guide broke.
Yo Sparky, i read what you typed in the chat, I appreciate it. I was bidding against someone and it got too high. You can buy one right now on BBC for $80. http://bbcboards.zeroforum.com/zerothread/522956-quantum-tour-editi...
I emailed the guy on your behalf and just read his reply, He has Several left.
I still rather have the Okuma for 110 than the quantum for 80.
I can get the guide fixed, not sure how much it will cost. I will probably buy the Okuma, and use the Quantum as a 3rd SB rod. And I won't be selling it to Daniel haha, he can get his own. I bought my Q for $100 on ebay 2 yrs ago.
ROFL. Just in the case that you buy it and dislike it. I will be buyin one too. The 7'6" is killer for the price point so I figure the 7'11" is just the same.
EH CB4, sorry for the bean very busy as of late and there is no sign of slowing down. once i get a break, i will check my email for that info.

in the beginning i was hooked on shimano rods, but as time grew on i got PPE (ping pong elbow as dean describe it). never thought of it much, until i started asking around. found out i had to change out my rod in a hurry. that is why i started looking at the okuma. from there i found others, and have now ending up at dobyns.

in all honesty, i hardly look back. i am actually trying to build up my set so i have 1 complete set here in nuckia and another at home. if you find a source for gen1 rods, their prices are tough to beat.
hey you guys I had a rogue 8' swimbait rod sr.swimbait stick 2- 10 oz way better than an okuma let me know if your interested.
