The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

So I have seen the packages of 3 or 4 skirts you can buy at local sporting goods stores, but have never been impressed with the color selections.  What online companies have the best selections of skirts with good prices.  I would like some skirts that are chunky, lots of strands, yet I am not ready to go into production and start cutting and banding my own.  Suggestions?

Here's a couple eBay stores that I've bought from: Accent Fishing Direct (alonzo1954) and Tournament Bass Baits (tony-kay). They both have some excellent skirt selections. I've also bought from BPS and Cabelas, and I've caught fish with them. Both eBay stores have close-up shots of their products, so you can get a pretty good idea of what's available.
Even after posting my instructions, I have to agree. I make my own skirts and spinnerbaits as well; there's nothing better than catching a fish on a lure you made yourself.

I will have to start looking into making my own skirts. Hopefully I will be doing the Lead Pour-A-Thon 2010 and will have many jigs to outfit and dress up. Is there any brand of skirts people prefer? I have seen some that look like they have upwards of 100 strands, but most seem to be a lot less than that. Are those usually "Custom tied" to get that many strands?
Barlow tackle is good you can get everything there. I order my skirt materials Rubber and Silicone and my jig heads from them. The nice thing is they have the type of jig head I use with a weed guard and they come painted already. There is nothing more rewarding than tying up a jig and then getting it hammered. The only tough thing is that I have lost probably 5 FB head jigs I tied up just in the last month and one mop jig too. Good luck!!

If some one is willing to sell some of those homemade jigs let me know I will buy some coming from California We love jigs. Not quite sure what colors work up here? But brown and orange work well down there, will buy some 100 strands jig hit me up on my home page and let's talk prices.
Do-it molds.....they have everything for luremaking. Lurenet.com has stuff, Bass Pro has a lot too. I was just in Atlanta and the Bass Pro there had a whole Row of skirts and other components.

I have been pouring my own lead and making my own jigs for a long time and found that as far as colors go, sometimes they don't look the same in person as they do online or in a catalog so I would start with a small package size in case you arent happy with the colors.

Good Luck
